Give Now to Mainstay

Monthly Giving

Monthly giving is a convenient way to donate funds to assist Mainstay’s on-going programming. When you join monthly giving, you are helping Mainstay reduce expenses of paper and time. Mainstay accepts ongoing monthly donations on debit or credit cards. Your card will be charged each month at the time of your choice, with an instant receipt for your tax records.

Pledges

Your gift to Mainstay through a pledge over the year(s) would support our general programs. The impact of your pledge of $5,000, $10,000 or more for three or five years would help to build sustainability for our employment and education programs.

Stock Gifts

When you make a gift of stock, you will receive tax benefits while giving employment support to job seekers with disabilities. The simplest way to donate publicly traded stocks to Mainstay is to have your broker transfer shares electronically to our account through our fiscal agent, the Seattle Central College Foundation.

Donor Advised Funds

Simplifying your charitable giving and facilitating your philanthropic goals, donor-advised funds are a positive way to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. To set up a Donor Advised Fund, you make an irrevocable gift of cash or other assets to a financial or community institution, receive a tax deduction, and as a “donor-advisor” may make non-binding grant recommendations to benefit the charities you care about, like Mainstay.

Matching Gifts

Your employer may match your donation in order to incentivize community giving. Please speak to your benefits department to determine if your employer is able to match your generous donation. Matching gifts are a perfect way to multiply your dollars to help people with disabilities.

Workplace Giving Campaigns

Consider a gift to Mainstay with your workplace giving through monthly payroll deduction. Currently, King County Employees – King County Employee Giving Campaign (KCEGP) Mainstay’s Program Code is #9633. If you work for an employer other than King County, please contact Rebecca for more information on how to give, 206-890-0140.

IRA Charitable Rollover

If you are 70 ½ years or older, you can donate to Mainstay through a tax-free transfer from your IRA. You are able to count it as your required minimum distribution. Please notify Mainstay if you would like complete a Rollover. We can assist you with appropriate language and process.

Endowments

As part of Seattle Central College, Mainstay is able to establish endowments to promote sustainability. You are able to name your endowment on behalf of a loved one or a job seeker who inspires you. Your gift of an endowment will live on into perpetuity and bring the joy of changing lives.

Bequests

When you make a gift through your estate, either now or at the end of your life, you provide an invaluable gift to Mainstay. In addition, you or your heirs may receive various financial advantages, including significant tax benefits. Let us work with you to determine the best way to create your legacy with Mainstay support.

Corporate Sponsorships

Mainstay has strong relationships with many local companies who provide us with funding or even in-kind support to raise funds for job seekers. Your company could offer items such as hotel stays, wine tours, restaurant meals and professional services. If you think your company can provide the Mainstay with sponsorship, goods or services that might benefit our operations and/or our participants, we welcome your support.

Build Your Own Fundraiser

We’re overjoyed by the creative fundraising parties and events held by our enthusiastic supporters. We’d love to work with you, too. Consider “donating your birthday,” having a jewelry party or holding cocktail party to generate funds for Mainstay’s job seekers. Do you have an idea for fundraising for Mainstay? Please contact Rebecca, 206-890-0140.
