Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is expanding work readiness and employment services to high-school aged youth (ages 17-21) with disabilities. Effective January 2018, services are for students with IEPs or 504 plans, whether or not they are eligible for DVR Services.
“Pre-ETS” has specific focus areas:
- Job exploration
- Informational interviews
- Work-based learning experiences
- Workplace readiness training to develop social skills and independent living
- Instruction in self-advocacy (which may include peer mentoring)
